The national award-winning HBA Restoring Hope Foundation is accepting applications for the 2018 Home Remodeling Project that will brighten the home and spirits of one worthy Berks County family. Submit applications by 4 p.m. on Feb. 16.

Applications may be obtained at http://hbarestoringhope.org/ or by visiting the HBA office.

The Restoring Hope Foundation – now in its 7th year – helps restore lives one project at a time. The mission of the HBA Restoring Hope Foundation is “to construct solutions to address unique challenges of deserving people in Berks County.” The Foundation provides a hand up by providing one-week home makeovers to working homeowners who have special needs or who have run into hard times.

Diane Salks, Chair of the Board for the Foundation, says, “We’re looking for another good family – one that works hard, pays their taxes, and contributes to the community – who are facing their own unique challenges.”

The Foundation will be contacting school superintendents & principals, church leaders, civic groups, and veterans asking them to reach out to deserving families they know to encourage them to submit an application. If you know of a deserving family in need, please contact them and encourage them to apply.

The 2018 Build will take place from September 7-14 with the Big Reveal on Saturday, September 15.

The Foundation welcomes volunteers who are willing to give time, services, and/or funds for this worthy cause.

Without the outpouring of financial and physical support and volunteerism from local businesses and individuals, this annual project would not be possible.
