AMITY >> A Boyertown man was arrested after police say they found him in possession of drug paraphernalia in the parking lot of a township supermarket.

On Tuesday, Feb. 27, at approximately 2:58 a.m., Amity Township Police responded to the Wawa parking lot at 10 Maplewood Drive regarding a report of an overdose.

Responding officers observed a blue Subaru Impreza entering the Redner’s parking lot in the Douglassville Shopping Center. Upon further investigation, the operator, identified as Bradley Fretz. 25, of Boyertown, was found to be in possession of heroin, and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Fretz was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended or revoked license. He is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing, according to court dockets.
