The Birches at Arbour Square in Harleysville welcomes Tracey Aungst of Douglassville as its new executive director. In this position, she is responsible for the daily operations, which includes maintaining compliance with the county and state guidelines, and recordkeeping. In addition, Aungst works with her team to orient, train and teach staff regarding the intricacies of senior care.
Aungst has over 25 years of senior living experience. Prior to working for The Birches at Arbour Square, she was executive director of a campus, which offered Independent Living; Personal Care; and Memory Care support. Aungst was also on the senior leadership team at a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and was previously employed for over 18 years with a large national provider of Skilled, Independent and Personal Care. She is a licensed Personal Care Home Administrator in Pennsylvania.
Aungst holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Geriatrics from Albright College and has taken a number of courses at Alvernia University where she was pursuing a secondary degree in Occupational Therapy. While in college, she worked as a Personal Care Assistant and Medication Technician.
Aungst and her husband live in Douglassville. They have two children.
