After unceremoniously dumping snow on us for the first day of Spring, Mother Nature dialed-up a “winner” for the annual “Easter Egg-Stravaganza” at Schaeffer’s Harley-Davidson of Orwigsburg on Saturday, March 31.
People were in attendance from as far away as Maryland for the day-long activities. Kids Carnival Games ran from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., “Pictures with the Easter Bunny” were scheduled from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and the extremely popular Community Egg Hunts for children 10 and under began at 3 p.m.
“We raised over $6,700 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association at the Eggstravaganza Event on Saturday, March 31,” said Cherie Schaeffer-Bogotuik of Schaeffer’s Harley-Davidson. “358 Photos were purchased and 855 dozen (10,260) plastic candy filled eggs were hunted by over 500 children age 10 and under. Schaeffer’s would like to thank the local community for supporting this event.”
