    A vehicle is towed after it was involved in a collision with a garbage truck at Hawthorne and Horseshoe roads on Friday. The driver died as a result of his injuries.

East Brandywine >> Police have identified the man killed in the March 30 accident on Horseshoe Pike, and police are still seeking eyewitnesses to the accident.

Christopher Estes, 25, of Honey Brook, was killed in the two-vehicle accident on Horseshoe Pike near Hawthorne Drive at 12:37 p.m. when his car collided with a garbage truck, police said.

Estes was trapped inside his crushed vehicle and had to be extricated by first responders. The driver of the waste disposal vehicle was transported to Brandywine Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Estes’ sedan had emerged from Hawthorne Drive, at which time it was struck by a waste truck.

East Brandywine officers were assisted at the scene by the Chester County Serious Crash Assistance Team (SCAT), including officers from West Brandywine, West Goshen, Westtown East Goshen and Uwchlan Police Departments. East Brandywine, Glenmoore, Honey Brook and Wagontown Fire companies – as well as Minquas and Westwood Ambulance, lso responded to the scene.

DUI >> Stephanie Ann Forbes, 34, of Downingtown was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on March 25 at 12:45 a.m. at Aston Avenue and Highland Avenue in Downingtown.

DUI >> Sergio Aguilar, 36, was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop at Strode Avenue and Valley Road in Coatesville on March 24 at 10:31 p.m.

Gun stolen >> A 19-year-old Morgantown teen has been charged with stealing a Colt .360-caliber pistol from the home of Honey Brook man, police said.

Hit and run >> Michael Finnegan, 52, of East Nantmeal was charged in connection with a hit-and-run accident in the area of 3629 Conestoga Road in East Nantmeal Township on Feb. 2 at 3:12 p.m., police said.

DUI >> Matthew Lindenlauf, 26, of Coatesville, was charged with DUI following a traffic stop on Route 30 Bypass near Route 100 in West Whiteland on Feb. 17 at 1:08 p.m., police said.
