Evlynn Hofbauer, a 2016 Twin Valley graduate, has been welcomed into the Penn State Engineering Honor Society Eta Kappa Nu. As a Penn State sophomore with junior credit status Evlynn enjoys the rigor of simultaneous enrollment in the college of engineering for computer science, and the college of science for mathematics with a PhD option. This summer she will begin an internship in research at Penn State.

HKN is the honor society of IEEE. The Greek letters ??? were chosen from the first, fourth, and last letter of the Greek word for electron: ????????. Penn State engineering students must rank in the top 25 percent of their class by their junior year to be invited to HKN. IEEE, pronounced “Eye-triple-E,” stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
