Adapted from Edgar Rice Burroughs’ classic, “Tarzan” is the story of a man who must find his place between two worlds. After her own baby is killed by a leopard (Allena Kishpaugh), a gorilla named Kala (Megan Reiff) adopts the orphaned baby Tarzan, despite protestations from Kerchak (Jahlil Little), her husband and the leader of the troop. Young Tarzan (Patrick Skoniczin) grows up rejected by Kerchak and the rest of the family, but is encouraged by Kala and his best friend Terk (Bridget Dunleavy). When he reaches adulthood, Tarzan (Kyle Mazur) realizes his true identity with the arrival of Jane Porter (Sarah Shugar), a scientist who teaches him about the human world. With the help of Kala and the now-adult Terk (Chris Boyd), Tarzan must choose between the family who raised him and the world he comes from. Rounding out the cast are the villainous Clayton (David Cole), a hunter bent on poaching the gorillas with his partner Snipes (Evan Lydon); and Professor Porter (Reid Simmons), Jane’s absent-minded but loving father.
