Area churches participated in the Birdsboro Cross Walk on Good Friday, March 30.

Starting at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 5 Brooke Manor, Birdsboro, the walk took in much of the center of Birdsboro. Stops along the way will be accompanied by prayer. Stops included Boyer’s Store where they prayed for posterity and commerce, Boone Library where they prayed for education and student safety; Borough Hall where they prayed for the government and local law enforcement; and the VFW where prayers went to the military, veterans, and world peace.

The walk circled back to the Union Fire Company for prayers for the firemen and other first responders. As the community food bank is located in the Union Fire Company they also offered prayers for the hungry.

Proceeding to St. Paul’s UCC for the sixth stop in Birdsboro, prayers for all churches were given. Participants returned to St. Mark’s for soup in the Fellowship Hall.
