The Knights of Columbus and St. Elizabeth’s parish are hosting a farm project to help feed the hungry of Chester County on Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to noon. The Knights are looking for volunteers to plant potatoes. Last year families, friends and many members of the community helped to harvest 1,800 pounds of potatoes in the fall, but it all starts with the spring planting. This is a family project so adults can come with children. Snacks and drinks are provided.

Last year the harvest was enough to feed more than 300 families through the Lord’s Pantry, and 400 pounds were sent to Texas to support the needs of the first responders who were assisting in response to hurricane Harvey.

Location is Route 100, 4 miles north of Ludwigs Corner (Routes 100 and 401). The field is located on the right side of the road between Prizer’s/Little’s John Deere Store, on the left, and Pughtown Road.
