The Boyertown Service Unit of Girl Scouts of Eastern PA held a Super Sitter event on Saturday, April 14, at St. Columbkill’s Roman Catholic Church in Boyertown. Forty six girls, under the leadership of Mary Flanagan, R.N., learned very important life-saving skills.
This popular, six hour, class was available for girls in Junior and Cadette troops, fifth through eight grade. The program teaches basic baby-sitting skills along with skills caring for children. Included in the program is a full day of infant/child CPR and First Aid certification. The participants earned Girl Scout badges and certificates in both first aid and babysitting.
It was a great day for all.
