Fleetwood Junior Girl Scout Troop 1793 celebrated Earth Day.
The girls painted rocks for Berks County Rocks (they took off their Girl Scout vest during this activity to keep them paint free). They labeled the back of the rocks and invite those that find them to go onto the Berks County Rocks Facebook page and post where and when they are found. The girls are looking forward to seeing the posts about people finding their rocks!
The Girl Scouts also learned about vermicompost or worm composting. One of the troop parents brought in their composting bins and shared their knowledge of composting by teaching the troop the value of composting.
