Fleetwood Junior Troop 1956 visited Dianna, owner of Rita’s Blandon and Sinking Spring locations. The troop was working on earning their Business Owner badge. The Girl Scouts received a tour of the shop, learned how their ice is made and were given a nice cool treat while they talked business. Dianna explained to the girls that she had to have a business plan ready before she opened and that if they ever open their own business that they might need to obtain a loan from the bank. She discussed work ethic, how she manages her employees, the various roles of her employees, finances, customer service and the importance of consumer research.
