State Police Hamburg investigated a road rage crash involving a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a truck on June 6.
According to State Police, a road rage incident began in the construction zone in Ontelaunee Township and the crash occurred at 3:15 p.m. on Route 61 approximately a half-mile north of Birch Hill Road, Perry Township.
Timothy Hagedorn II, 31, of Auburn was driving a 2016 Harley Davidson FXDB when, according to witnesses, he executed an abrupt lane change in front of a 2006 Peterbilt truck, possibly to “brake check” the truck. The Harley Davidson was struck in the rear and Hagedorn was knocked off his bike and then became entangled underneath the truck.
According to State Police, witnesses reported that the driver of the truck Gary Fisher, 60, of Tremont, immediately applied his brakes upon being cut off and was unable to avoid a collision.
After the truck came to a stop, Hagedorn was caught under the right front tire of the truck tractor. Hagedorn was subsequently transported by ambulance to Reading Hospital for treatment of severe lower leg injuries and left arm injury.
The scene was processed and the crash was reconstructed. Investigation continues.
