The Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles, 85 S. Walnut St., is thrilled to hold its fourth annual food truck fair on Saturday, June 30, from noon to 4 p.m. in the Museum’s parking lot. The Truck Stops Here promises to be an exciting and unique event in Boyertown. Last year’s event attracted 1,500 visitors. Food trucks in attendance this year will be: Captain Chucky’s (The Pottstown Mercury Reader’s Choice Award for five years in a row), Gourmand, Mister Softee, Mom-Mom’s Kitchen & Polish Food Cart, OMG Smoothies, Phyllodelphia (Best Overall Food Truck Judges’ Choice, 2017 PA/NJ Border Brawl), Tre Locally Sourced, and Wow Wagon. Sly Fox Brewery will also be on hand with a selection of their award-winning craft brews. We are also excited to welcome back Cosmic Kettle Corn, Organic Fairy Floss, and The Peppermint Stick Candy Store to our event.

There will be no shortage of entertainment at the food truck fair. DJ Code Freeze has been to every The Truck Stops Here to enhance the block party atmosphere of this event, and we are looking forward to having him again in 2018. This year we will also be featuring a special Kid Zone area of the food truck fair where free activities for younger visitors are available, including face painting and balloon art by Mimzy’s Facepainting and More. New for 2018’s The Truck Stops Here will be Grandpop Bubbles, who will bring his popular giant bubble show to our KidZone. Reading Royals mascot Slapshot will also be joining the event from 12-2:30pm.

In the Museum, there will be plenty for visitors to see and do. Our blacksmith will be operating at the forge for the duration of the event, so make sure you take the time to experience blacksmithing in our 1872 restored carriage factory. Our special food truck exhibit for 2018’s The Truck Stops Here will be focused on pretzels-both the history and craftsmanship of this quintessential Pennsylvania German food as well as the many Boyertown Auto Body Works trucks built for the many pretzel companies in Berks County. Make sure you also take the time to check out the three newest additions to our vehicle collection on special exhibit in the Museum lobby-a 1937 Chrysler Royal with custom coachwork by Derham Body Company of Rosemont, PA, a 1944 Willys Jeep, and a 1979 Battronic Volta electric pickup, built right here at the former Boyertown Auto Body Works.

Admission to The Truck Stops Here-Mobile Madness is $5 per person. Children ages 6 and under are free. Admission to the food truck fair also includes admission to the Museum. Since this event will take place in the Boyertown Museum’s parking lot, parking for visitors will be available at Morrell Funeral Home, Good Shepherd UCC, and St. John’s Lutheran Church.

The Truck Stops Here-Mobile Madness would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Silver Sponsors are Adam’s Royal Car Wash, CD’s Place Catering & Eatery, Diamond Credit Union Boyertown Branch, Everything Printing, Gateway Ticketing Systems, and R.T. Brown & Company, PC. Bronze Sponsors are Eagle Pools, Patt Veterinary Hospital, Passmore Service Center, Piazza Honda of Pottstown, Parks Chiropractic, Salon Twenty-Two and Spa, and Thrive Acupuncture.
