The Schürch (Shirk/Sherk/Sherrick, etc.) Family Association of North America Reunion: July 27 and 28, at the Best Western Hotel Plus Country Cupboard, Lewisburg. The Reunion provides a fun opportunity to learn and become acquainted with Schürch descendants. Tour of Schürch family history in central PA, hear Switzerland Schürch history and what present day Schürchs are doing, learn about the Susquehanna Frontier in the late 1700s and early 1800s, bid and buy items donated by family members at the fun-filled closing auction. Free Screening: 4 p.m., Reading Movies 11 and IMAX. Berks County native and current Los Angeles resident Joseph Lisa debuts his brand new web series prologue ‘Cypher’. This screening is a free admission event to give the community an exclusive glimpse at the show and to meet the team behind it’s creation. Featured panel to include writer/director Joseph Lisa, actors Matthieu Lange and Alexa Marie as well as executive producer Jason Connor Mara.

America’s Heroes of the 21st Century Trip: ULTWMA is sponsoring a one day trip to the “Flight 93 Memorial” and “Quecreek Mine Rescue Site” on Aug. 17. A private motor coach will leave from the rear parking lot of the Leola War Memorial Building, 54 W. Main Street, Leola at 6 a.m. Return is 6 p.m. Includes round-trip transportation, Memorial Plaza with Wall of Names of Heroes of Flight 93, Visitors Center, and Memorial Chapel.
