A beautiful summer Saturday with no rain in the forecast was perfect for a German invasion! And that’s exactly what happened on July 14 at the Oley Fairgrounds.

The occasion was the 14th annual Deutsche Classic All-German Automotive and Motorcycle Show. The event, billed as Mid-Atlantic’s Premier All-German, attracted about 1,000 participants with just under 250 show cars, from as far away as Georgia, German motorcycles, 32 vendors and an additional 15 cars for sale in the car corral. Once again, there was something for everyone with a taste for German engineering.

In addition to the cars there was a Tire Toss competition for the guys, a “Ladies In Jeans” quiz competition for the gals, a Kids Car Hunt for the younger set, DJ music all day long and delicious food served up by the Oley Fire Company.

The Deutsche Classic is a truly unique event. If you’d like to participate or simply spectate, mark your calendar for the second Saturday in July, Next year the event will be held July 13, 2019. Join in on the fun for the 15th Annual Deutsche Classic.
