The stormy summer has claimed another victim.
Due to an unpleasant weather forecast, Starfest, the Chesmont Astronomical Society’s Annual Stargazing Party at Hopewell Furnace National Historic site, has been canceled.
Bad weather postponed the event from Aug. 11 to Aug. 18, but the continued cloud cover and threat of rain make it impossible for this coming weekend as well, organizers said.
