With a whopping of 2,296 votes, Exeter Supervisor Dona Starr won her seat for a third term on the board in the Nov. 5 election.

Thanks to write-in votes at the May election, Starr’s name was on both political sides of the ballot.

‘I am humbled by the overwhelming support,’ Starr said. ‘I will do my best to serve the best interests of the entire township and listen to all concerns of our residents and business owners.’

Starr stated her goal is to ‘[grow] a healthy tax base and [keep] the community safe.’

The unofficial election results show there will be a change to the board in January.

Barry Ziegler received 1,801 votes; this will be his first term in office. ‘I am happy I will be able to contribute in the future,’ Barry Zeigler said about his winning a seat on the board. ‘[I] will help bring new ideas to Exeter Township.’ Incumbent Donald R. Wilson trailed with 1,495 votes.

Wilson currently serves as the board’s chairman.

The changes to the seats go into effect for the first board meeting scheduled 7 p.m. Jan. 13, 2014.
