Boyertown’s holiday season begins Friday, Dec. 6, with the eleventh Boyertown Holiday Open House Tour which runs from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
This year’s tour will feature seven homes, including four properties within the borough and three unique homes located in Colebrookdale Township. People can walk, drive, or travel the route via two trolleys or buses. Included in the tour are numerous interesting spots such as the Boyertown Area Historical Society, Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles ,which will be serving hot dogs and hot cocoa, the beautiful, Victorian Twin Turrets Inn, A Festival of Trees at the Center at Spring Street, Taylor Backes and Tibitu Glass with glassblowing demonstrations and a tour of their three-room gallery store and a chance to purchase their 2013 holiday collectible ornament, Kevin Zimmer’s personal museum of Boyertown artifacts, two Art Galleries, unique shops offering specials and so much more. Tickets will be on sale at Twin Turrets Inn (11 E. Philadelphia Avenue), the Boyertown Area Historical Society (43 S. Chestnut Street), Zimmers Pet Store (51 E. Philadelphia Avenue) and Frecon Farms (501 S. Reading Avenue in Boyertown.
The tour begins at the Boyertown Area Historical Society, located at 43 South Chestnut Street, where maps of the tour will be provided.
