On Dec. 6, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Boyertown Area Multi-Service will be hosting The 7th Annual Festival of Trees.

This event is a way for the community to come together to help local families celebrate Christmas, as well as to help them survive the cold winter months. It is also a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season with family, friends, and neighbors while enjoying the beautifully decorated trees. Holiday music provided by local musicians adds to the festive atmosphere. This event is free of charge and open to the public. It is, once again, a stop on the annual Holiday House Tour; however, you do not have to be on the tour to attend The Festival of Trees.

Last year, with the help of hundreds of sponsors and the proceeds from The Festival of Trees, 380 children from 172 families received Christmas gifts through the Christmas Giving Program at Multi-Service. Some of these families, as well as others with no children in their household, also received a Christmas meal. Monies raised afforded Multi-Service the ability to purchase fuel for households who would have been without heat at some point during last winter. It is our sincere hope that with the support of the community again this year, struggling families will have a brighter holiday season and a warmer winter.

We invite you to get in the holiday spirit at The Festival of Trees. 200 W. Spring Street is the place to be! Participants will be given the opportunity to win the fully decorated tree of their choice through the purchase of raffle tickets; winners are also given the option to donate the tree to a family in need. You need not be present to win. Awards will be given to the tree voted ‘Event Favorite’ and the tree deemed “The Most in Demand” (the tree with the most raffle tickets in its container). The creativity and ingenuity of the tree sponsors is absolutely amazing! Limited Edition Angel Ornaments will also be available for a $20 donation.
