National Penn Bancshares, Inc. (Nasdaq: NPBC) announced that Mark A. Hornberger, team leader and relationship manager, was promoted to senior vice president in its Central Region Commercial Lending group. He reports to Bruce Smith, executive vice president and Central Region president.
Hornberger has more than 25 years of financial service experience. He is responsible for the growth and management of a commercial lending team. Hornberger also develops and manages new and existing commercial lending relationships.
Hornberger, who resides in Shillington, joined National Penn in 2010. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Lebanon Valley College and his master’s from Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio. He is active in the community through his position as chair of the Advisory Board for The Salvation Army Reading Corps and is a trustee for the Reading Musical Foundation. Hornberger is also a member of the Risk Management Association (RMA) and the Kiwanis Club of Greater Reading- Berks County.
