Rotary Student of Month: Haley Bailey, Kutztown senior

Kutztown Area High School senior Haley Bailey was honored April 2 as the Kutztown Rotary Student of the Month in ceremonies at the Kutztown Tavern.

The award is given each month to a senior from Kutztown Area High School and from Brandywine Heights High School that have been selected by guidance counselors in recognition of scholarship, community service and student activities contributions.

The Brandywine Heights nominee could not attend the meeting due to a school activities conflict and will be honored at a later date.

Bailey has served her school on student council, National Honor Society, as vice president of the National Technical Honor Society, class president for four years, Kutztowns Outstanding Young Woman, as vice president of Health Occupations Students of America, and serves on the Teacher Appreciation Committee.


In the community, Bailey volunteers at the WK&S Railroad in Kempton for childrens events and is active with Rhythm in Motion dance studio, where she is a student, an assistant dance instructor and a member of the dance team and color guard.
