A team of diverse professionals serving the aging population in Berks County and dedicated to assisting their adult children, has come together to provide the “Aging Parent Fair.” The “Fair” provides attendees with financial resources, care alternatives, assistive services and connections to the people and programs who can serve them and their loved ones.

The “Aging Parent Fair” is a health fair styled event geared specifically to adult, middle aged children (40-60 years old) who find themselves caring for aging parents and loved ones. Most of these children are juggling responsibilities both at work and home and are often challenged to find the proper care and alternatives for their loved ones.

“As an adult child dealing with my own aging parents…and as a past Director of Nursing at a senior living facility…I know both personally and professionally that families are challenged with helping their parents and are looking for help and resources…the Aging Parent Fair will provide those resources,” Kathy Eynon, owner of Parent Care Alliance, said.

The “Aging Parent Fair” hosted by Pa. State Representative Mark Gillen will be held on Thursday, Nov. 13 at Caernarvon Township Building (3307 Main Street; Morgantown) and is open to the public. Drop in hours are from 5 – 7 p.m. Admission is free.
