Just a few short months after closing the doors to their brick and mortar restaurant, Funky Lil’ kitchen, Michael Falcone and Tonda Woodling are moments away from debuting their next culinary venture, HEART Food Truck. HEART promises to offer only the best local food-stuff from family-owned farms, and an ever-changing seasonal menu that is sure to keep its curbside customers coming back from more.
“It’s about cooking from the heart,” says chef Michael Falcone. “It always has been for me. It shouldn’t matter if your cooking from within a restaurant kitchen or on a food truck, the care, preparation and quality of food should be the same.”
HEART Food Truck plans to hit the streets of Phoenixville on May 10 and you won’t miss them coming. HEART’s uber graphic truck not only sports exciting blocks of color, but also holds large typographic words and illustrations proclaiming their philosophy toward cooking with seasonal, sustainable and local ingredients.
Menu items like Escargot, Lamb Sloppy Joes, and Mushroom Wellington are not the norm when you think of truck food, but HEART plans to change that. Their menu will reportedly change weekly, dependent on the season and farm/market offerings.
