Local teacher Maddie Elizabeth Yuengel from Blandon has just completed her third play for Act 1 Productions, Inc., based in Shoemakersville.

Act 1 does performances, music and testimonials for small and large group settings. Yuengel started working for Act 1 Productions when she was 13 years old and started writing for them two years ago with her debut show, ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business, Unless It’s Murder’. Maddie’s latest creation is ‘The Case of the Shaken Rattled & Rolled Reporter’. These shows are currently being hosted by the Strasburg Railroad, Ronks, PA.

Act 1 is in their 9th Year of ‘murder’ on the railroad. Throughout the season, guests can enjoy two different murder mysteries on the Strasburg Railroad.

Yuengel has the plot set in the 50s to take guests cruisin’ for a bruisin’ down memory lane as they burn rubber into the clues to find out who committed murder. Guest are known to show up dressed for the performances.

For ‘The Case of the Shaken Rattled & Rolled Reporter’, guests have been seen sporting their 50s poodle skirts and DA’s (a male hairstyle where the hair is slicked back on both sides to overlap at the back of the head).

The Murder Mystery & Dinner is hosted by the railroad and Hershey Farms Restaurant. The staff will twist and shout to make their guest feel welcome and comfortable. To view specific shows and dates, checkout www.act1productions.com or email them directly at act1ministry@aol.com.
