Scouts learn about friction and static electricity.

“Galaxy Quest” was the theme for this year’s Twilight Camp, sponsored by the Boyertown Service Unit of the Girl Scouts of Eastern PA. The camp was held at Calvary UCC on Route 100 in Barto.

Under the leadership of “Commander” Patricia Moser, forty seven girls are participating in the five day event. For three hours every evening, during the week of July 14, girls (Kindergarten to eighth grade) learned about the universe through hands-on activities including science, games, and snacks.

Special thanks to all the adults and teenage Girl Scouts who are volunteering their time to serve as Fuel Specialists, Training Specialists, Design Specialists and more. There were guest teachers as well, including a science teacher from Penn State Berks Campus.
