Cars line up for Boyertown Lady Bears car wash

The Boyertown Area Senior High School Lady Bears soccer team held a car wash on Saturday, Aug. 16, to raise funding for the team. Team members soaked up the suds and cleaned up the cars alongside coaches and parents.

The Borough of Boyertown was bustling on Saturday. With events scheduled in the area throughout the day bringing a steady traffic flow through town, it seemed the perfect day for one local sports team to wash some cars in order to raise funds for the upcoming season.

The Boyertown Area Senior High School Lady Bears soccer team held a car wash on Saturday, Aug. 16, to raise funding for the team. Varisty and junior varisty team members soaked up the suds and cleaned up the cars alongside coaches and parents.

Coach Marcy Ruyak stated that the event, which started early due to the line of cars ready and waiting, had surpassed last years amount of $425.

The car wash took place in the Boyertown Shopping Center parking lot on E. Philadelphia Avenue.
