The Zion Spies Evangelical Lutheran Church held their 2nd Annual Car Show Event and Apple Harvest Festival on Saturday, August 30. Despite competition from Boyertown’s Duryea Days and heavily overcast skies the event attracted about fifty entries and was spared from even a single drop of rain.

The entries were judged by people’s choice (participants and spectators) in four categories; Antique, Classic, Import and Motorcycle. Trophies were awarded for each class. Veterans attending the event were recognized and were offered a free hot dog and drink.

Numerous individuals and church groups worked together to make this a successful event. 100 percent of the proceeds from the event were used to sponsor area children to attend Bear Creek Day Camp held at Zion Spies Evangelical Lutheran Church.
