The graduating class of 1948 Boyertown High School held their 66th reunion on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Boyertown Orioles at 4th and Washington Street.
‘Sixty-six years ago, things were so different and we live those dreams every day,’ said Joan Herbst, a class member and one of the organizers of the reunion.
According to Herbst, five couples married each other and stayed together their whole life. The class lost seven members this year.
‘This will be our last reunion since by next year we will be 85 years old,’ said Herbst, explaining that this will likely be the last sit-down dinner arrrangement for the class members.
Approximately 35 people attended the reunion on Oct. 1.
