I was born in Lancaster County at home in 1964 and I will be 50 years old in the end of November. In 2007 my dad passed on and my mom is 94 years old and lives with my sister.

I went to public school for 5 years, to Gehman’s Mennonite School for 1 year and to a one room school house for two years. I attended vocational school as well until I was 15 years old. After my school years I did some cleaning jobs and I had competitive employment at Sun-Line Coach for one year where I helped clean the campers and swept floors. Then I got a job at Lighthouse. I liked Lighthouse the best and worked there for 12 years.

I like to quilt and started quilting when I was 7 years old my; first quilt was a four patch. Since moving to Sunny Crest in 2002 I started quilting again and I have quilted more than 60 quilts over the years. I donated one to Sunny Crest Home and one to Hayloft Fabrics. The rest of the quilts went to my nieces and nephews.

I donate regularly to Christian Aide Ministries to help people who live in poverty in other countries. I also donate to Gospel Express and to Door of Hope I like to donate so that they can keep on with their Christian Ministries.

My favorite thing to do is to quilt and secondly I like to dust and clean. At Sunny Crest Home I enjoy helping to set the table and I like talking to those who live and work at Sunny Crest. I love to attend daily devotions where I lead in the singing of hymns. I enjoy the holiday meals and love to receive mail especially birthday and Christmas cards.

My Favorite Bible Verse: 2 Chronicles 7:14New International Version (NIV)

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
