Representative Charlie Dent (PA-15) was praised by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) for his voting record in the current Congress. The organization recognized Representative Dent with the NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence.

Dent had a 100% voting record on issues that the NAM deemed vital to the nation’s manufacturing center.

Aric Newhouse, NAM Senior Vice President of Policy and Government Relations, commended Dent for his exemplary record.

“Manufacturers are often disproportionately impacted by decisions made by policymakers in Washington,” said Newhouse. “The NAM is proud to stand with lawmakers like Rep. Dent who understand what is at stake and seek to implement policies that will foster innovation, growth and competitiveness.”

Dent was greatly honored to receive the award from NAM. “Manufacturing remains the foundation of America’s industrial might. I supported legislation calling for Liquid Natural Gas exports, tax relief for smaller manufacturers, reductions in burdensome regulations, and many other important measures to make certain that remains the case.”

“I’m proud of my record of achievement supporting the more than 563,000 people in the Commonwealth working in manufacturing,” Dent added.

Representative Dent has also been recognized this year by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) with their Guardian of Small Business Award and with the Spirit of Enterprise Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for his pro-economic growth governance record.
