What are Tilden Elementary Center fourth graders in Mrs. Fuhrmann’s class thankful for this year? Here are their responses.

Jason I.: I am thankful for being able to see all my family members during Thanksgiving and other holidays. I always enjoy having a good time when we get together.

Alex W.: I am thankful for my family and friends because they help me when I need help, they make sure I am always healthy and get me what I need.

Riley M.: There are many things that I could be thankful for, but I am most thankful for my pets, friends, family and the holidays.

Justin M.: I am thankful for the meals my mother makes me every night. I am also thankful for the Thanksgiving dinner my nana makes for my family.

Tanner S.: I am most thankful for my brother and three sisters. They play with me, and I help them when they are in need. I am also thankful for kittens and everything else.

Isabella D.: I am most thankful for my family because we do everything together. I like playing with my sister and two brothers. I also like helping my mother groom dogs and help my father shovel snow.

McKenna E.: I am thankful for my family, my house and my education. The truth is, I am thankful for everything!

Nathan W.: I am thankful for having a family and friends, a home. I am also thankful for a free country.

Hailey K.: I am thankful for my family and friends. I am also thankful for my pets.

Clarissa D.: I am thankful for freedom because without freedom we would have slavery. I am thankful for food. Without food we can’t survive. I am also thankful for my family and my dog.

Aslyn M.: I am thankful for my sister. She is my best friend. I am also thankful for my friends because they are nice to me and feel like sisters to me.

Madison W.: I am thankful for the house I live in. I am also thankful for my pets and my family.

Lola F.: I am thankful for food and water because I need those to survive. I am thankful for my parents because they keep me safe. The truth is, I am thankful for everything!

Ethan B.: What I am most grateful for are my toys, WII, and all the stuff I get over the course of my life.

Kristin B.: I am most thankful for my mom, my sister, and my dad. I am also thankful for my cat and kitten.

Hailey M.: I like being able to give people things they need. I am also thankful for people giving me things I need.

Adrianne L.: I am thankful for my brother, mother, and father. My brother helps me clean up my toys when my friends come, my mother helps me do the dishes, and my father plays with my brother and I.

Konner O.: I am thankful for my parents and my baseball coach. My parents are nice and get me things. My coach lets me play whatever base I want to.

Ethan B.: I am thankful for Christmas.

Austin W.: I am thankful for being with my family members during the holidays, like Christmas and Thanksgiving. We play football, eat, and talk. I enjoy the time I spend with my family.

Joshua E.: I am thankful for everyone being able to help my family when we were in need. I will help them when they are in need.

Mrs. Fuhrmann: I too, just like many of my students, am thankful for many things. I am grateful for family and friends like many of my students. But, as an adult, I realize that there are many things to be grateful for that a child many not understand. I am grateful for each day… because I feel it is a gift, the kindness of strangers… because they create a feeling of unexpected thoughtfulness in our world, the challenges in life… because they are what have made us who we are today and without them we would not push ourselves, and watching children laugh, grow, and dream… because they help keep things in perspective, when the daunting feelings of being an adult with many responsibilities can be overwhelming. Here are just a few, in a long list of many, things I am thankful for. What are you most thankful for?
