Lions Carl Gundrum and Paul Dymond and Walmart store manager Rnita are shown with the supply of food items donated to the Twin Valley Food Bank.

Members of the Morgantown/Elverson Lions Club recently held a fund raiser by selling tickets for a 3 minute grocery shopping spree at the Morgantown Walmart.

The drawing was held on November 22 and the winner was Neil Deye, owner of 82 AutoWerks in Geigertown, who donated his winnings to the Twin Valley Food Bank. The Lions club picked up the food items and delivered them to the Food Bank.

The money raised by the sale of the raffle tickets will allow the Lions to better serve our community. The members thank Neil, store manager Rinita of Walmart, and everyone who contributed. It is truly helping make a difference.

The Lions meet on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday. Lions identify needs within our community and work together to fulfill those needs. If you would like more information about the club please check our Facebook page Elverson-Morgantown Lions Club or email Carl at gunner@ptd.net.
