The first Saturday in Decemeber this year-Saturday, Dec. 6-marked the 11th annual Chillin’ on Main event and offically kicked off the holiday season in Boyertown. While the weather wasn’t ideal, the dark and rainy skies didn’t dampen the holiday spirit.

New this year: Santa decided to visit by rail via the Colebrookdale Railroad Preservation Trust’s The Secret Valley Line. Attendees were encouraged to listen for the train whistle for his arrival.

Philadelphia Avenue was closed from Reading Avenue to Washington Street during the event as activities were set up right on East Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown.

Music was provided throughout the event, beginning with the Boyertown Alumni Band which was followed with a DJ to provide holiday music and announcements.
