Twin Valleys Garden Club decorates Coatesville Veterans Affairs building for holidays

Members of the Twin Valleys Garden Club recently decorated the lobbies of one of the Coatesville Veterans Affairs medical center buildings as part of the club’s annual community outreach. This has been a long-standing club effort and an important part of the club year.

Several members erected a red, white and blue “Thank You” tree where visitors could write a short note to veterans and place it on the tree. The club also decorated a long, sunny lobby area with greenery, wreaths, plush toys and a large, colorful Christmas tree.

A highlight of the day for the garden club members was that veterans would stop by to chat and add a bauble or two to the tree. Other visitors stopped to jot their notes to show gratitude to veterans past and present for all they do and have done to keep America safe and free.

The club members also created many small table-size live greenery decorations as a club project. These arrangements will be distributed to resident rooms to brighten the holidays.
