Cheyanne Shingle: My favorite holiday traditions start with spending time with my family! My favorite thing we do on Christmas morning is open our presents. As soon as we wake up we come running down the stairs. We wake up my mom and dad. Then we finally start ripping open our gifts! It is a lot of fun! I can’t wait!

Ben Feight: In my house we start Christmas early. The day after Thanksgiving we go out to a big farm and pick out the biggest Christmas tree. My daddy will cut it down and we will take it home with our car. When we get home we take the tree in the house and start to decorate it. My daddy will put all the lights on the tree. Then me, my brother Luke and Mommy will put the balls and bows on it. The tree always looks fancy! On Christmas Eve we will see my Uncle Jim, Grandma and Grandpa Feight. They bring lots of presents for me. Christmas morning we wake up real early and sneak downstairs to see what Santa brought us. Santa almost always gets me everything on my list!! After presents we will go see my Aunt Krista and Grandpa Ken. We will also have dinner with my mommy’s grandma and grandpa. It’s always a fun time of year!

Charlie Jozefowski: I have a lot of traditions that I do to get ready for Christmas. Every year we go and pick out a Christmas tree. We take it home and put on the decorations. I get to put on the colorful lights and the ornaments. When we are finished decorating my dad puts the star on the top. We put lights up on the outside of our house and on the railings. I get to put the candy cane decorations in the grass. My mom and I like to make peanut butter cookies for the holidays. On Christmas day I run downstairs and open up my presents. I am hoping that I get a hockey net this year. For dinner we always go to my grandparents’ house. We eat turkey and pie for dessert. After visiting my grandparents I like to go home and play with all of my new toys before I have to go to bed.

Angelina Laire: I think of the Christmas holiday as spending time together with my whole family. On Christmas Eve my family and I go to my Uncle Dave and Aubree’s house. Then the rest of my relatives join us. We have a lot of fun together! I play with my cousins, we play princess and we even have a tea party. After that, we eat a big seafood dinner together. The food is so good my belly gets stuffed. Everybody helps to clean up the dirty dishes. Then I play with Aubree’s Lego friends. When it starts to get dark we know it almost time for dessert. The whole family sits down for dessert. My family has pies and holiday cookies, my favorite is coconut custard! Last we play games, and then drive home. The next morning is Christmas and I can’t wait to see what Santa left for me!
