My name is Mary Becker and I was born in 1969 I am 45 years old. At 6 years of age I had a high fever for days which caused a ruptured ear drum and this is why I have had some special needs throughout my life. I have three sisters and one brother and my cherished memories are of living on a farm and playing with children and caring for the chickens in the chicken coop. I love animals all except for snakes and on the farm my favorite “pets” were the sheep and a cow.
I went to Warwick School in special Ed classes until 9th grade. After 9th grade I stayed home to help my mom with our newest sibling, she needed help because she had kidney disease and I was happy to bless her with all the help I could give. I worked at home for quite some time and I also worked at an egg processing business where I put eggs in cartons.
I moved to Sunny Crest Home in June of 2012 and I like being at Sunny Crest Home because the staff are nice and caring and the residents make me feel at home. I have hobbies that I like to do such as plastic canvas, making sun catchers, and putting together puzzles with my friend Faith. I believe that God supplies all of our needs.
My favorite verse: Psalms 46:1
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
