SubmittedDori Hoch, Blandon, recently released her newest book filled with colorful illustrations and the competitive antics of, “The Easter Bunny Brothers.”
Hoch, a retired elementary teacher and reading specialist from the Fleetwood and Wilson School Districts, collaborated with artist, author, and West Lawn native, Jane Wolfgang, former elementary art teacher for Governor Mifflin and Wilson School Districts, to create a book suitable for preschoolers through early elementary. Inspired by her grandchildren’s love of stories read to them, Hoch created bunny brothers, Bobby and Benjamin.
“Jane Wolfgang’s colorful illustrations bring Bobby and Benjamin to life as they struggle with sibling rivalry, problem solving and team work,” Hoch said. “While the story is humorous and entertaining on a first read, a deeper level of understanding can be gleaned through rereading and discussion.”
Hoch’s story finds both Bobby and Benjamin Bunny wanting to be this year’s Easter Bunny, but only one student from the second year egg decorating class will be chosen. Benjamin draws the winning ticket, but a mishap ensues. Who will be this year’s Easter Bunny?
Hoch will be doing a reading with signing of her books at various locations on the following dates:
