Darlene and Martin Younker, Fleetwood, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 27.
They were married on March 27, 1965 at Frieden’s Lutheran Church, New Ringgold. The ceremony was performed by the late Rev. Charles Orem.
To celebrate the anniversary, a surprise party was by their children at the Virginville Fire Company.
A farmer for 50 years, Martin is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin A. Younker.
Darlene is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William F. Grube. She is a farmer’s wife.
Their children are Kathy, wife of Ernest Adam, Phillips, Wis.; Bryan, Kutztown; and James, Fleetwood. There are nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
