On April 15 the Twin Valley Rotary Club was proud to honor Twin Valley High School seniors Kelli Witkowski, Alicia Lynch and Ashley McCoach as their students of the month.

The presentation was made at their weekly meeting.

Kelli is an active member of the Twin Valley High School Orchestra. With the help of her Orchestra Director, Mrs. Dieter, Kelli developed and implemented an Orchestra program for the Twin Valley Elementary Center. Kelli and her fellow honorees currently instruct 9 students in an Internship program after school each day. Outside of school Kelli is a drag racer, and races weekly at Maple Grove Raceway. Kelli plans to attend Reading Area Community College in the fall to pursue a degree in Business Management, and transfer to a four year college for a degree in Music Business Entertainment.

Alicia has been involved in NHS, Tri-m, Mini-THON, Leo club, FFA, Pit Orchestra for the musicals Beauty and the Beast, and Bye Bye Birdie, the Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra, Junior and Senior Counties, and has volunteered at the Veterans Hospital in Coatesville. She chose to be a part of the internship at the elementary center because she wanted to make sure students could receive the same opportunities that she had. She says that playing the violin has provided her with many opportunities in her life that have helped her excel as a student. She believes that this internship will help those kids thrive in their futures as well. As for her future she will be attending Suffolk University in Boston for a year and then will be transferring to Boston University for the next three years to major in Forensic Psychology.

Ashley has been a part of Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Taiko Ensemble, Indoor Percussion Ensemble, Full Orchestra, String Orchestra, Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra, Pit Orchestra for Beauty and the Beast and Footloose. She has participated in the County Music Festival for violin and flute all four years of high school. Some other clubs that Ashley participates in are Tri-M Music Honors Society and National Honors Society. She also is the Leo Club Vice President and is helping organize the first Mini-THON at the school this April. She also helped start the orchestra program at Twin Valley Elementary Center. In the future, Ashley plans on attending Pennsylvania State University and majoring in Elementary Education.
