The Fleetwood Area High School would like to announce their senior students of the month for April.

Haley Schappell is the daughter of Steven & Audra Schappell of Blandon. Haley’s future plans are to attend Rowan University and study in the field of Biomedical Engineering. Once Haley obtains her degree she plans to work in the field of robotic prosthetics. Haley has been involved in various activities at the high school level that include National Honor Society, Class Treasurer, Marking and Concert Band, Wind Ensemble(1st chair & section leader), Soccer (Captain – Senior Year), Basketball, Basketball Manger and Track (Captain – Senior Year) . Haley also dedicates her time to the community by volunteer work at the local food bank, soup kitchen and at her church. Haley also volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity and a local preschool with National Honor Society. One person Haley admires is her basketball coach. She states the Coach Kellett is hard working, motivational, caring and has helped her grow as a basketball player and as a person. His guidance helped me to become a better individual and his determination and knowledge are attributes that she admire.

Matthew Masenheimer is the son of Timothy & Cindy Masenheimer, who reside in Fleetwood. Matthew’s future plans focus on attending Temple University to major in Musical Education. Matthew has been involved in various activities at the high school that include tennis team, soccer team, band, chorus, orchestra, jazz band and the production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” Matthew also dedicates his time to the community by participating in the bell choir at his church. One person Matthew admires is his cousin, Andy. Matthew states that his cousin inspired him to get involved in the field of music. Being able to see his cousin play the saxophone was something that pushed me to be the best musician I could be.
