The Center at Spring Street, located at 200 West Spring Street in Boyertown, is a gathering place for active older adults 55 years of age and over who are wanting to stay active and connected with other seniors in the community.
Boyertown Area Multi-Service recently purchased a new bus through a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The new bus will provide a much needed smoother and quieter trip for its riders. The Center provides transportation to and from the Center to those seniors unable to drive. There is a minimal fee for transportation.
The Center also provides a nutritious, hot lunch at noontime and a variety of activities including exercise programs, Wii Bowling, shuffleboard, billiards, educational programs, special celebrations, Bingo Nite, Friday Nite Dance and more. Volunteer opportunities abound in the kitchen, packing meals on wheels, assisting with clean up, and set up for special events.
