Robert C. and Joanna L. Werley, of Shoemakersville, will be celebrating 60 years of marriage on July 8. The couple was married in Elkton, Maryland, on July 8, 1955.
Robert is retired from Carpenter Technology, Reading, and is the son of Charles and Verna (Burkey) Werley.
Joanna is retired from Globe Underwear, Shoemakersville, and is the daughter of Earl and Ardell (Shappell) Hepner.
Every five years, the couple’s children have a special family gather to celebrate their anniversary and the children hope to continue that tradition this year.
Robert and Joanna have four children Sheryle Delewski, wife of Scott, of Hamburg; Michael Werley, husband of Virginia, of Hamburg; Daryl Werley, husband of Janice, of Shoemakersville; and Crystal Koehn, wife of Kevin, of Hamburg. The couple has five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
