The holidays can be an especially difficult time for those without a home, and those living alone. Identifying thousands in the area like this, Limerick Bowl will be warming up their lanes on Thanksgiving Day while partnering with Crossroads Church to provide a free meal and bowling. The event will be held on Thursday, Nov. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Having served the homeless in over a dozen countries, I’ve seen the way those in need struggle, especially during the holidays,” said Mindy Johnson. “I’m excited to serve these 400 guests as my family for Thanksgiving.”

Those interested in attending should contact Crossroads at 610-495-6495 to RSVP, or search “Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl Dinner” on Facebook to confirm attendance. Free vans will run between Spring City, Royersford, Phoenixville and Pottstown libraries from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., taking guests to the bowling alley, which is also located off of bus route 93.

Crossroads Church has been serving their community for more than 15 years locally and along the east coast. More than 100 volunteers have offered their time to bring a piece of their family to the local community. Limerick Bowl has contributed to a variety of community needs including Special Olympics and fundraisers for locals in need.
