Coloring and Cookies: Adult event (ages 16 and up). Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m. Coloring books for adults are the latest trend, and unlike some fads, this one is actually really good for you! Coloring is a stress free activity that relaxes the amygdala, the fear center of the brain, and allows your mind to rest. Join us for coloring and cookies. All supplies will be provided.

Yoga Class: Adult event (ages 16 and up). Dec. 12 at 9 a.m. Join instructor Nazareth Bedoya for morning of yoga. This event is FREE, but advance registration is required. Bring a yoga mat, yoga strap (or belt/tie/scarf) and either a folded blanket or firm pillow. This program will take place when the library is closed.

All Aboard! Sensory Story Time: Dec. 19 at 9 a.m. Designed for children with special needs and those who prefer a quieter library atmosphere. Stories, songs, and activities that improve literacy and social skills, as well as free play. Program takes place when library is closed, so preregistration is imperative. (Ages 3-8 with caregiver)

Christmas at the Library: Family event for all ages! Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. Join us at the library for Christmas cookies, games, crafts, stories a special guest… Santa Claus! Bring a small wrapped gift (no more than $5) for an exchange.

Gingerbread Houses: Family event for all ages! Dec. 23 at 6:30 p.m. It’s a holiday tradition at the library! Pre-built houses made of graham crackers will be provided or you can build your own. Please bring a bag of candy or other decorating materials to share with the group.

Nov. 28″Faith & Family” pre-game concert: at Santander Arena at a Reading Royals hockey game. The Royals are also using the game to raise funds for homelessness in Berks County. Dec. 2Living with Loss Support Group: The group will participate in Pastoral Services Special Program with Dr. John Chuma, clinical psychologist, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Community Night at Robeson Lutheran: A meal of lasagna, shepherd’s pie, pizza and salad will be offered at 6 p.m. followed by the program at 6:30 p.m. This family friendly project involves constructing a Jesse Tree. A freewill offering will be collected to help defray costs of the meal and ensure future community programs. The church is located at Plow Road and Route 10. Dec. 5Caernarvon Township Christmas Event: The Township will hold its annual Christmas Event from 10 a.m. to noon at the Township Building, 3307 Main Street, Morgantown. Santa Claus will be arriving by the fire truck shortly after 10 a.m. Bring your camera and take pictures of your child with Santa, enjoy the model train display, participate in games, make a Christmas craft to take home, join in singing Christmas carols and have some holiday refreshments. This is a free event for all children in the township.

Garden Tool Demonstration: Bring your favorite or unusual yard or garden tool to the Garden Tool Show-And-Tell at Satoyama Homestead (Warwick) from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Demonstrate your garden tool and get gift ideas for the gardeners on your holiday shopping list! Dec. 6Coach Handbag Bingo: To benefit the Twin Valley Elementary Center. Join us for at 2 p.m. (doors open at 1:30 p.m.) in the Twin Valley High School cafeteria. Gather your girlfriends and come for an afternoon of great fun and gorgeous handbags! Pictures of the bags will be available on TVEC’s PIE/PTI Facebook page. Dec. 19Immanuel UCC Gifts of the Arts Series: The series continues its 2015-16 season with a concert by Vox Philia Chamber Choir. The choir will perform music that celebrates and honors Mary, mother of Jesus, and concludes with a complete performance of Johann Sebastian Bach’s incredible Magnificat, accompanied by Berks Sinfonietta.
