Model Railroad Open House: Sundays 1-4 p.m., Dec. 20, 27 and Jan. 3, 10, 17 and 24. Normal Ave. and Whiteoak St., Kutztown. A highly detailed, 500 square ft. HO scale model railroad will be open for visitors young and old. A bustling city, amusement park, rural countryside, bridges, mountains, lakes, and streams are all on display. Free Session on Adoption & Child Foster Care: Free informational session, 6 p.m. at Diakon Adoption & Foster Care, located on the campus of The Lutheran Home at Topton, 1 S. Home Ave., Topton. Diakon staff will explain foster parenting as well as the process involved in adopting a child. Attendees will learn about children available for adoption as well as the foster-to-adopt program. Jan. 8Kutztown Folk Music Society: The KFMS presents The Jolly Tars. Ken Purcell and Jake Laubach perform music of the 19th century from the Industrial Revolution, Civil War, Irish folk, Maritime, Minstrel stage and popular songs and tunes of the era.
