For the next several months, Cat Angel Network will be featuring our senior cats. While kittens are certainly appealing, we have a special place in our hearts for those cats who have a few years behind them but have the most beautiful and loving of spirits.
Some of these senior cats will appear in the Petsmart Adoption Centers, while others will be shown only at the weekend Adoptathons. Still, others may be at home with their foster families, waiting to hear that someone saw their picture or read their story and would like to meet them. Sweet Pea is one of these kitties, patiently hoping for an adoption application in her foster home in Pottstown. Here is her story:
“My name is Sweet Pea, and I need your help. My dad can no longer take care of me because he had to move to take care of my mom who is in a nursing home. I have lived with these two wonderful people all of my life of 16 years. I thought I would live out my Golden Years with them, but it is not to be. I must find a new home.
My parents always kept me safe indoors since I am front-declawed. I am a petite and friendly girl, I use my litter box perfectly and my dad will vouch for me that I have no bad habits. I like to be petted and will sit on your lap. I even get along with other cats and dogs.
I will bring you a lot of joy, I promise. I’ll be so grateful to the family who gives an old (but spry) girl like me a few more years of sunny windows, warm laps, purrs and snuggles!
I’ve been spayed, front-declawed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and am current on all required vaccinations. I was born in 1999.”
