Fleetwood Area Public Library

Lego Club for Kids: Feb. 15, 6:30 p.m. Ages 12 and under, join Mrs. Richdale to build creations using the library’s Legos and Duplos. Creations will be kept on display during the week for all patrons to see. No registration needed. Free program.

Fleetwood Area Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting: Feb. 16, 6:30 p.m. We will meet in the Borough Council Meeting Room on the first floor of the Fleetwood Community Center. Open to the public.

Block Party for Kids: Feb. 17, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. A program funded through a grant from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries. Join as we unveil our new wooden block set (300 pieces) along with our village of people, vehicles and animals. We’ll build our neighborhood and talk about unique structures around the world. No registration needed. Free program for kids 5 and under.

Kutztown Community Library

Bus Trips: The Library is sponsoring 2 bus trips. On April 5, Sight and Sound Theatre to see “Samson” followed by a lunch buffet at Shady Maple Smorgasbord. Cost includes bus fare, lunch buffet, snacks and tips. On May 3, Three Generations of Wyeth. Brandywine River Museum of Art and the Museum Cafe. Guided tours of N.C. Winter Scavenger Hunt: Through Feb. 29, visit 5 different public libraries in Berks County and look for one different thing in each library. Pick up a sheet and begin your quest. Prizes will be awarded from the library you select the paperwork from. Join us in a unique opportunity to explore all our libraries have to offer.

Library Lovers Month: Through Feb. 12, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., join us to enter to win a box of chocolates. For every item you take out, you can fill out a heart and put it in the jar. This year, if you color a page for us to display you will earn five extra chances for chocolate. Drawing is Feb. 13.

Story Time with Miss Jenny: Feb. 13, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Preschool, elementary and older children welcome. Get to know a new author each time, and there is always a craft to make and take home. Today’s author is Cynthia Rylant.
