Frederick Living hosted a “Star-Studded Evening” Friday night in Pottstown to celebrate 120 years of service.

The non-profit retirement care community held a silent auction and dinner at Sunnybrook Ballroom, with all proceeds benefitting the communuity’s Resident Benevolent Care Fund. The fund supports residents with depleted financial resources to allow them to continue to live in the community.

The community was started in 1896 as a Mennonite home. The dinner included an appearance from state Sen. Bob Mensch, a Montgomery County Republican who represents part of Berks County.

The event featured musical entertainment by The Romano Sisters and Betsy Chapman, as well as a performance by the The Delaware Valley Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.
