“Walking for Healing”: 2:30 p.m. at the Interfaith Labyrinth, Epler’s UCC Church and Cemetery, 1151 W. Leesport Rd., Leesport (North of Reading Airport off Route 183). Dining with Diabetes: PennState Extension is offering a program that will help you learn how to better manage type 2 diabetes by offering nutrition tips, how to prepare healthy good-tasting foods, how to incorporate physical activity in your schedule and more. Know Your Symphony Lecture Series: As prelude to Saturday’s performance of the Reading Symphony Orchestra, Joe Horowitz, author and producer, will discuss the Dvorak concert, featuring renowned vocalist Kevin Deas. The concert will include the “New World Symphony.” Discussion will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Highlands at Wyomissing. There is a nominal ticket fee.

Kutztown Folk Music Society: presents Don Sineti, self-taught artist, educator and musician, and activist who helped found the Wethersfield, Connecticut based Cetacean Society International, which aims to protect whales, porpoises and dolphins around the world. In 1960s coffee houses, he was a chantey-man at Mystic Seaport Museum, and performed with the Finest Kind and The Morgans.
